I'm a tunes nerd. I find it endlessly fascinating how so much can be done with, apparently, so little.
For specific areas of interest, I can't come up with anything better than the original description :- "This is a collection of traditional tunes from Ireland, England, Scotland and the Northern Isles, Scandinavia, France and further afield :- jigs and reels, polskas and schottisches, waltzes, bourrees, horos and more".
This all comes about because these are what I enjoy playing. Clarinet's my instrument; not that common, but it works well. For the last several years, I've been playing mainly with Moorgate, a very nice little ceilidh band. We play mostly around the north-west of England, where we live - north Lancashire, Cumbria, Yorkshire - but are happy to go further afield if asked.
Also, because I can't see anywhere else convenient to put them up, here are a couple of ancient bits of geeky stuff.
